The holidays are here! This means plenty of delicious foods, colorful decorations, gifts, and hearty laughs with our family members, including our beloved pets. This also means that our pets may be at a heightened risk of exposure to certain seasonal objects that are toxic to dogs and cats. Below is a list of things, arranged according to level of toxicity, that can be harmful to your pets. Print this list out and smack it on your refrigerator, share with friends on social media, and read it a few times so you know what your pet needs to avoid to be safe and happy this holiday season:
Low Toxicity to Pets:
- Ponsettia leaves and stems
- Balsam/Pine
- Christmas Tree Preservatives
- Snow Ornaments
- Super Glue
- Styrofoam
- Icicle paints
Moderate Toxicity to Pets:
